Apart from great services we offer via www.australianart.com.au we have had numerous requests to develop AustralianArt Classifieds.
The collectors, buyers, artists were all interested having a service where they can find high quality art for sale, or find place where they can sell such art without being subject to high commissions.
AustralianArt Classifieds provides the connection between sellers and buyers so they can conduct business directly without the middle man and without the need to be subject to high commissions that often applies to both buyers and sellers.
Once commission is removed from the sale sellers are able to get more money then if they would have sold via a middle man, and the same applies to buyers who would purchase the art for less than they would pay if they purchased via a middle man. Its that simple.
AustralianArt Classifieds does not charge commissions if sell your art and manage your sales yourself (check emails, make professional contacts and offer paintings for viewing).
AustralianArt Classifieds can also act on your behalf and sell your work. We take care of everything for small initial charge and 15% commission if the art is sold. Take photos, place an ad, follow enquiries, and organize private viewing.
AustralianArt Classifieds can also assist you to achieve both purchase and sale.
How it works – ESCROW SERVICE
1. Once the ‘deal’ is made, buyer and seller can appoint Escrow service.
2. Buyer pays the money plus small fee to Escrow Service trust account.
3. Escrow Service informs the seller to ship the goods, and they hold full amount of purchase in trust for the seller.
4. Seller then ship the goods.
5. Buyer receives the goods and if everything is according to initial arrangement, buyer instructs Escrow service to pay full amount to seller.
Using Escrow the question of does the buyer pay first, or does seller send goods first is diminished. Unless you are able to view the art work in person, and purchase and collect the goods in person we strongly recommend using Escrow service.
If something goes wrong
If the art piece is not what it was claimed to be, damaged, or in any way incorrect. The buyer then informs Escrow service that the payment can’t proceed. Escrow returns the money to buyer less the charged commission, and informs seller to organize collection of the said art object.
